Technology for Plant Vitality Monitoring
A German company has developed a novel process that permits simple and direct monitoring of plants, and in particular of the oxygen supply to their roots. The company is looking for horticultural companies, agricultural and forestry companies and manufacturers of irrigation systems as partners for a licence agreement and joint further development.
Innovative Aspects:
- Portable measurement unit with optical sensor and light source.
- Analyses the composition of certain leaf carotenoids.
- Measurements performed before and after application of oxygen.
- Measurements are non-destructive and take place at the surface of the leaf.
- Recording and analysis of measurement data.
